I’ve been relatively inactive in the realms of RB lately, but on jumping back into the throng with three images on a Italian theme, one of them, Montecchio Pageant 2, a portrait of a beautiful Tuscan maiden, has just been featured in the great new group, The Other Side of Italy Check this group out, it has some excellent images.
I was also delighted earlier in the week to have another Italian image, Donna Alla Finestra featured in the ImageWriting Group. Many thanks to the hosts of both groups.
Just in case one day someone buys one of my works, I thought I’d check out the printing quality of the RB products by ordering some cards and a print of my own images. I bought 20 cards of my image Wildebeest sunset
I’m thrilled to have have had my image Brown spider close-up 2 featured in the Extreme Close-ups group and to have had two more features in the Photographer in Action group – ‘Wedding Photographer’ and ‘Celebrity Tulips’.
Many thanks to the hosts of both groups; I’m delighted!!!
I’m thrilled this morning with the news that I have been made a Featured Member of the group Style! Class! Elegance! Excellence! and also that my image Elder Dewdrops has been featured in the group. Many, many thanks to the hosts!!
Delighted that my photo Helicopter at Il Ngwesi was featured in ‘A Vision of Flight’ – thanks very much to the hosts, I’m delighted!!
Delighted also that my photo ‘Golden Birdwing butterfly – on the wing’, which the hosts of ’ A Vision of Flight’ were kind enough to use as the sample shot for the challenge ‘Butterfly in Flight’, also gained place in the Top Ten!
Browsing quietly through RB early on Saturday evening (27 June) while the garden was rejoicing in a self-watering fest courtesy of a powerful storm, the glorious firmaments decided to take revenge on this idle bubbler and dispatched a thunderbolt of no mean proportions at the electrics of our house. This is not an unusual occurrence in this part of Italy at this time of year, and this time the weak link in the electrical chain was my modem/router! Suddenly my red bubble burst and being Saturday evening in rural Italy there was nothing I could do. Nor could I on Sunday. The said modem is the property on Telecom Italia, a company not known for fast or reliable response to problems, so on Monday I bought a spare to use while I await the pleasure of the Telecom Italia technician. I then disc…
I delighted that my image ‘Starling Cloud’ has been featured in ‘Colour and Light’; thanks very much to hosts Ranald and Rémi!
I’m equally delighted that my little inquisitive squirrel, ‘Red Squirrel 2’, has been featured in Happy Haven Photography, where hosts Marie and Sandra have had a squirrel and chipmunk celebration! Many thanks to them both!
I’m delighted that my image Wildebeest Sunset gained 2nd place in the recent Sunrise/Sunsets challenge in the Indigenous to East and Southern Africa group. Thanks to all who voted and well done carisma for the winning shot African Sunset…
The prize for the 1st and 2nd place winners is the opportunity for each to recommend a new challenge for the group. In fact Olitto, one of the group hosts, has made me another host of the group so I have set up my challenge directly.
So, as a new host of Indigenous to East and Southern Africa, I invite you to look in on the group, view some fabulous work and even if you don’t have work from that geographical area, join up and vote in the challenges. The challenge I’ve set up is called Cheetahs! and there should be some great entries.
After a busy week away, firstly in Vienna where there was no time to point the camera at anything, and then in London for a 90th birthday party (not mine!) and a visit to about-to-pop daughter in Newark (Notts, not NJ), I returned to peaceful Tuscany and the opportunity to catch up with RB to find the delightful news that my photo ‘Starling Killer Whale’ had won the ‘Birds of a Feather’ challenge in the I Love Birds group. Thank you, those who voted, I’m thrilled!!
I also discovered that my photo ‘Lunch Over’ was featured in the Indigenous to East and Southern Africa group and was in the Top Ten for their ‘The Hunters’ challenge. Delighted with all of that too – thanks to the hosts!!
I’m delighted to have had some more of my work featured over the last couple of days. Many thanks to the host of the groups for considering them. Thanks too for all the wonderful comments from bubblers around the world – what a great community this is!
Wildebeest Sunset was featured in For the Love of Canon

Delighted that my work ‘Burj Al Arab – Interior 3’ has been featured in the brand new group ‘For the love of Canon’. Thanks very much to hosts Kelly and Hannah. I can’t display it below since it’s not for sale and RB won’t let me copy it.
Also delighted that my photo ‘Lily at Il Ngwesi’ was among the top ten in the Image Writing (2/24) challenge Have Fun!. Lily is my granddaughter and this photo is what her Mum calls my ‘Kodak moment shot’!!
I’m delighted that my liitle spiderhunter peering out of his newly-built nest has been featured in both ‘Live, Love, Dream’ and ‘First Things’. Thanks very much to the host of these groups for considering my work.
I’m also thrilled that ‘Elephants at a waterhole’ has been featured in ‘Elegant Elephants!’ and that it also was among the top ten in the challenge ‘Elephants on the move’. Thanks to the hosts and to those who voted for it.
Many thanks to the hosts of Penguins Galore for featuring my work African Penguin portrait. This is the second time this little fellow has been singled out – he was previously featured in African Art & Photography. I’m sure he’s feeling very chuffed down there at Boulders Beach, as I am! :))
Many thanks to the host of Squirrels and Chipmunks for featuring my photo Red Squirrel 2 – I’m delighted!!! I can’t seem to find a way to say thank you specifically within the group, apart from replying to BigD’s comment notifying me of the feature, so I hope the hosts get to read this.
I should like to thank the hosts of ‘Animal Photography – Limit 1 photo a week’ for featuring my image ‘Black Rhino at Lewa’ in the group’s work. I’m delighted and honoured to be included in such a high quality collection.
