Geese Flying South - Sweet Marsh, Iowa by

Sweet Marsh, Iowa is a wildlife refuge where one can see many different kinds of birds. On this cold, cloudy day, many, many geese were honking away in the marsh. The geese would take off in flight about every 1 to 2 minutes in groups of 2 to about 30. It was fun to watch them fly and form their V’s above.

I live in northeast Iowa on an acreage. I grew up on a farm, and learned to love nature a great deal. I have worked as a veterinarian and currently work for a landscaper. The many experiences I have had in life have given me a “wide eye” when I look at the world around me.
