The most misunderstood of all concepts is that of Freewill. Most people interpret Freewill to mean, if an orange and apple are placed before me, and I have a choice as to which one I would prefer (or good or evil), then the act of my choosing is Freewill expressed. I disagree, believing that this would only be an illusion of Freewill, for I am still manipulated by the fact that I can only choose one or the other. To have Freewill my choices would need to be infinite; I would need to be able to create instantaneously before me, not only an unlimited variety of choices, but a limitless atmosphere (universe) in which to enjoy them. In fact, I would need be able to create and alter, at Will, the very form I inhabit as a sentient being. So do we have Freewill? After what I have said, I still believe we do. I believe we are far more powerful than most of us imagine; and that no power of Heaven will be denied us—and these powers will become available as we mature in consciousness. Chaos, seemingly endless pain and suffering, comes from misuse. I do not believe that it is the preference of God that we know negatives to appreciate beauty and love. Trial and error is of our own doing.

It is a grea deal….to speak about free will.
Seems that Life is entrangling us in a turmoil of norms, culture habits, tendencies, compulsion, inconsistencies, frailties, and so many things that would let us think that this is but a mockery…a way of speaking.
I do not beleive in God…namely….object of creation, and seemingly “made to our likeness”, instead of the other way around. It happens like that…and apparently this inner way of seeing, feeling has to be respected. Man has been created, and everything that happened before his appereaing in this formal and chaotic world has a reason in itself. But it is a pattern of shaping Life, and in that pattern nothing has been preconcieved. We have evolved into a “human” organism" because this “will” of then newly one that appeared clung to species and evidently, a “will” served to cling to that. Life cannot stop, but it is not a blunt affection of luck, but a willful present of profiting the advantages of any living creature, from the tiniest and apparently ancient living cells, to the “democratic organism” and conscious being that we are.
As a personal feeling…as any of us is a different person, a unique and absolute soul that thinks, feels, creates and is born and dies….it must be an unique too will of lving, and it does not matter that around, there are some other souls that willfully would love to murder my freedom. Consciously we can be “tamed” controlled, enslaved….massacred, or loved, cared for educated and so far…but deep inside, we do not know how we can do, what is driving us to be so an so, how far can we get, how miraculously we can exist..an that is for me the real aspect of the so wrongly interpreted “free will”. As you have said, nothing to do with likes or dislikes, even with compulsions or culture drivings….it is not like that. For culture in a way is groupally free, bu internally self imposed. So what is the most…? The “Self”..the unique printing of our Soul´s prerrogatives….that which cannot be imitated, copied..for it belongs to our….inner Will-God.
Loved your topic, Joe…is really thrilling….a hug to you. Nice to have you back again, after some days of “vacation here”

Really beautifully and intelligently expressed, Rosa; to me you seem to have a very clear and intimate relationship with God and His (our) creation. As you, I believe God wants nothing more than our greater unfoldment as individuals into an ever evolving world centered around harmony and love. From each us flows an infinite universe…no two exactly the same; and if limited all, it will only be by our own lack of imagnation and involvement. Blessings my friend.
