Love is not a face
Though its faces
Are infinite
Everywhere,
Even when limited by
The confinement
Of a shell—

Outside darkness—

Awaiting
Liberation
Of its light

And so
Our goal
To liberate—
Not by finding
But shedding
And becoming
That beautiful
Monarch
Of winged
Beauty….

Much we can learn
From the caterpillar
As He lives not only
For his own transformation
But wonderfully
For our admiration

The selfless nature
Of God
