Jagged Wind

Scowling at twisted willow as it cracks.

Her words are thoughtless and beyond shallow,

While icy air rides up my nylon slacks

All I feel is burning guilt and sorrow.

The ghostly taunts of our yesterday kills,

My attempt to grasp logic of her way.

Window panes bang and grunt animal shrills,

My gauntlet of shame has begun today.

Blowing waste from countless lies, up heaving

Dust into grit proof wiser open eyes.

You moved away but it is me leaving,

For this crumpled man will once again rise.

Rain drops are trickling down the mirrored door,

Reflecting my face but my tears no more.
