I dare to say I am an extremely openminded person and i consider freedom one of our highest goods, but I am also attached to dignity and (self)respect. I think rights should come with responsibility.
Due to recent events here and the materials being sold and dispayed in combination with the way I (like many others) have been silenced for protesting them, the time has come for me to say goodbye and invest my energy in more positive venues. I want my efforts to contibute towards peace and understanding not to help promote a place that openly supports abuse, neglect and hate and ‘secretely’ supresses the voices that oppose it.

I want to express u huge thanks to all the people who have tremendously supported me here, many of you have a place in my heart and I cherish the really beautiful and inspiring interactions.

For the ones that like to stay in touch with me and/or my work you can find me at BLUECANVAS

I am wishing you all lots of luck, health and happiness!!!

Au revoir!!!!

XXX!

I’m so sorry you’ve decided to leave RB, Daisy; I have admired and been moved and entranced by your work. Your departure will leave RB depleted of great artistic talent, but you must do what feels best for you.
All the very best for your future artistic endeavours.

    Hey Lieverd,

This is rather sad, I’m sure that your contributions here will be missed greatly. Thanks very much for introducing me to Red Bubble. Without you I wouldn’t even have heard of it.

    Good luck on Blue Canvas.

    Daisy,
I appreciate and respect your position and admire your art.
Look for me at Blue Canvas and join my Patience group. I am shutterbugcsg.
But things are changing here. The complaints and protests are making a difference. I still have hopes RedBubble will see the light in entirety and make amends to those who were silenced.
HH is gone. It reappeared with just OBL tees briefly under a different account name and then disappeared again. There is work begun here to moderate certain types of works. Certain types of works will be blocked from children’s tees. House cleaning takes time. Educating people takes time.
But for real change and enlightenment to occur. I am sorry so many great artists and wonderful people have had to leave to start this change, but for now I am going to try to work to continue it.
    Best to you and hugs.

yeah, pretty pissed off at RB myself, they have shown me how similarly irresponsible that they are about even fulfilling a customer order without blaming their printing contractor’s screw up on me…lots of bullshit about nothing, and wasted time, possibly lost customers…not about morality, but obvious that the management is rotten…see ya at BC, wish they would speed it up and fix the image security issue though…seeya!

Ah Daisy it’s so sad !! why leave now that your fight and many others’ fight has began to bear fruits ?
You’ll be missed a lot by this community which has now good reasons to hope the return of peace and creativity !
I wish you the best !!!
    Big hugs

I personally don’t care much how this place is run. You can’t change that anyway. What I DO care about are the artists here and their works, which is easier to view and navigate than other places i hang my art. Those, like yourself, who try making a difference just end up getting removed or removing themselves, which leaves it pretty much as the management prefers it anyway, so unless it affects your income (it doesn’t mine, because i sell very little and will NEVER get any money from the company because of the low sale amount) then you might as well leave i guess. I sell more at Zazzle than i do here, and don’t participate there at all – go figure.
See ya around the blue canvas!

It’s too bad…so sorry for the way things are. I like it here….I love redbubble. I do very very well. I love my friends I made here. I’ve been here for three years…I work hard, it’s my job and redbubble treats it as so. Take care and best of luck with other paths you choose. It was nice knowing you and your work is wonderful. It’s sad to see you go.

i’m with Dwarkin-changes are happening as we write…changes YOU worked to make happen. All those who enjoy your work shouldn’t be punished too. i think both the HH and children’s wear issues are being reconsidered and you should stay to see how it all turns out….but that’s just me; )
    ik van jou!

  • Desirée Glanvi...:

I have stated my concerns carefully and respectfully and got suspended over it.

I can accept the different point of views and the uproar it is causing but it is simply unnaceptable to me that the management silences people who oppose RB’s viewpoints. Especially since it is a proven fact right now that the staff made some real bad decisions and completely fails at managing the site. It is not my fault that it has come to this stage, it is due to the fact that the management refused to look at all the signs coming towards them from many angles.
For 7 montths allready people were adressing these issues but no actions were taken besides the fact that they found themselves supsended. The fact that Sophie Shapiro was banned speaks volumes, if there is one peaceful, gentle and kind loving soul around it is her!!! She was 100% dedicated to help others….it hurt me to the bone when i saw she was removed.

If I cannot express my sincere concerns there simply is no way I can stay here.

Besides that it is my personal belief that when faced with injustice we need to speak up, we need to protect the innocence of children, I know there is crap all over the internet, but I will not look for it. No one in the right state of mind would ever expect an ‘artist friendly community’ to embrace baby T-shirts with quotes like "cunt inside’….if i would have known that this would happen i never would have promoted them.
I have no faith left that this community will ever be able to change the atmosphere back to something positive, it has simply gone too far and there has too much damage been done! As long as the management is not willing to admit their mistakes, make an apoplogy and unblock the ones that were blocked for doing the right thing i am very afraid this will be one of many disasters in a row.
Funny how they first FORCED us to reduce all our tags to 10 wihtin three weeks, which turned out to be a real bad decision and now with the baby Tees they refuse to change the default setting? Doesn;t that show you where their priorities are? It is more important to them to not miss out on possible sales than protect the rights of children, or protect the artists from being associated with possible illegale content?
Has anyone ever thought of the fact that some of these T’s ARE ILLEGAL in some countries? And that some artists who put their designs up over a year ago as adult Tees are NOT aware that they are available as Baby Tshirts now? Can we agree that if this artist lives in a country where they are illegal and someone orders one he might be in trouble? Or that it can damage their artistic reputation?
Shouldn;t RB protect their artists a little more

There is only one answer: redbubble does not care about freedom of speech, they dont care about diginity, they dont care about their artists or the community, they only care about bucks!!!
When I read that Hipster Hitler thanked Martin Hosking for ‘fighting so hard for them’ is a confirmation of that!

Apathy will never lead to a better or more peaceful world, I consider apathy a very destructive thing…so I really have to leave, I see no other option.
Having to slap my hands and bite my tongue really drains my energy, i havent been really creative in weeks, staying here would kill all my creative juices ( pardon the pun)….

I’m always going with the flow and life tells me to get the hell outof this one!

i will stay in touch with the people that I love, I will find them in other places! :)

i can’t argue with that. business rarely mixes with pleasure and there’s little of the latter if the former comes first.

We’ve been here in one form or another together a long time…it was never for profit and always a pleasure.

it will be alot less of one without you for more than just me.
talk to you at home; )
