The Truth Is More Bitter Than Ever by

I have slumped into a all encompassing pessimistic feeling that “the people”
can never win this silent war between the haves and the have not. After what I have heard, seen and read, The enemy hordes money and control as easily as you and I breathe. The formidable, insidious, silent opponents thrive off control and money. We are nothing to them, NOTHING. How else could they kill men, women and children without blinking.

This picture is a still from a dance I see inside my mind that represents in an abstract way how I feel. The close ups have titles to describe my visual language.

Invisible Shackled Freedom

A Guardian Of Nothing And She Knows It

Driven To Insanity

I live in the US. I joined RB in February of 2008. I have a BA in Fine Arts and a Masters degree in Art Education. Swell huh?
Art has sustained my soul and everything about me. We have always been equals. Buy it or don’t buy it. But please look at it.

Sadly I think you are right BUT we have a lot of spirit as a people and once we put our heads together we can accomplish a whole lot and as you can see the PEOPLE are getting to that point where who knows what will be the answer but it will happen and maybe soon. Love n Hugs Bingo!!

  • I felt that way for a long time. Meet John Doe that Christmas/New Year old black and white movie used to be my favorite. I still love it but it isn’t that way. I have as I said learned some things just in the last 2 weeks that kind of put the hex on any hope I actually kept inside. The Rich are richer, protected, above the law apparently, They are in control and rich filthy rich. You can’t touch them. They control the government and the global activities, economic and political. I’ll stop there but will get more specific on another posting. Keep that optimistic feeling. it is important!!! Thanks BingoStar.

we can win the war…. thats just it…it seems a lot of people are willing to be victims….surely people are realising what is going on around them these days……or they are expecting some hero to do the hard work for them??dammn it nothing is going to change if we do not stand up and say enough….it won’t be easy for the change but a small group grows into a large one if the voices shout long and hard enough…… the work…beautifully done Ann

  • If only…everyone would stop buying Coke and Pepsi products. Imagine a huge corporation like Coke going down. How do you organize that? Thanks for your lively response Irene. It is getting harder to stay calm..

The truth is they are setting a new morality standard for our children. A dance they will recreate with a bitterness that will topple our standards and society’s.
    Well done Ms Ann

The only thing I disagree with Ann is that the war is silent… not anymore. And even though it seems insurmountable, those people protesting wall st. give me some hope because I never thought that would happen. A part of me wants to hide and not know how this is going to go. You are right about boycott. Its the fastest way to make changes. It’s the dollar that votes and that’s the only vote we truly have for now.

  • Hi Ella Thanks for the great comment and reminding me of my own doubts that protest would happen here.

Superb thought provoking work – I have to agree with you -ordinary citizens the world over could overcome the greed and bullying of the powers that be (governments, leaders and big businesses) but only if they all come together and, sadly, I feel that day is still a long way off – Sues

  • Even though I feel this way I do know that history has shown that these protests can take a sudden turn. So we do have that to hang onto!
