I was recently asked to create some banners for the group Shapes & Patterns. These are a few I made for the hosts to choose from.

HEY THERE. I would like to tell you something about…”My Life On Redbubble”.
If you have come this far here is a little bit of information about me. On Redbubble I have 2 different sites and 2 different usernames.

Here my username is deviledham and this site includes the bulk of my artwork that is about me expressing myself or you could say “just making art work”. Here I belong to approximately 8 groups.
My other username is wwwdotcom.

There I belong to 3 groups, Current Issues, Art Action Union-Creative Activism and Politics, Race, Sexuality and Culture. Every art work I have submitted has been featured in 1 or more of these 3 groups.

At my deviledham site my art work gets featured often but not like wwwdotcom. If it’s about politics I feel my work has to be as accurate as possible, so I am careful about what I post. Sometimes I will post
a political piece on the deviledham site AND GUESS WHAT? Only 2 have gotten looked at and also left comments. It’s astounding how people either just don’t want to hear about it or they truly believe that everything is fine and America will always be as they believe it is in their minds.

I feel a very strong urge to make the political art because I am very concerned and feel helpless as to what I could do to be effective in any way possible. And I have a need to make art that is accepted by the groups I belong to as deviledham.

So there it is I lead a double art life existence. And it seems the two will never be equally received by the artists on Redbubble, they are 99.9999999% of my audience.
