While at the Stan Hywett Hall annual Father’s Day car show this June we were able to tour the mansion and we spent a couple hours in the gardens on the grounds. There are many plants from around the world. I don’t know what these are but there were white ones, also, and they are on stalks about a meter tall. Any help identifying these would me greatly appreciated!

beautiful colour Jim xx here’s the wiki link to Digitalis (Foxgloves) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitalis i used to have them in my garden and they are biennials. When they seed you can wave the dried flower stalk around like a magic wand and plant new ones really easily. :O) The bees love them but they are poisonous ~ quote wiki “The entire plant is toxic (including the roots and seeds), although the leaves of the upper stem are particularly potent, with just a nibble being enough to potentially cause death.”
Beautiful image you captured and the colouring works really well. A proper Cottage Garden Flower x
Thanks! They have so many flowers there from around the world, I wouldn’t know where to start to find them.
