This is a macro of a Christmas Cactus bloom taken in west central Florida in the month of March. This is an unusual time of year for this cactus to bloom so it could be the result of a very pleasant and unusually warm winter in 2012.
Newly retired (semi), I have turned my attention to focus on my creative side. While I love to teach, I am now adding to my knowledge of photography, writing (recently published a children’s book ISBN9781462645268) and looking back to where I started with pencil, oils and maybe even watercolor!
My wonderful husband, who creates beautiful rustic wood picture frames, my children and grandchildren motivate all that is good in me!
