After designing the print Revolution, I decided to do a small series of prints that payed tribute to some of the technological innovations of the past that have helped shape society (and myself) but have now become outdated and fallen into disrepair. The centerpiece of the Nostalgia print is an IBM Personal Computer AF, a machine similar to the first computer that I came in contact with. The Queen Anne’s Lace makes a return in this print (and all prints in this series) as a cohesive element and a symbol of antiquity. I used a retro fabric print pattern overlaying the design to add texture and a feeling of ambience accented by the distressing and aging techniques applied to the entire piece. Check out my design blog designbysolo.com to view photographs of a printed version of this and other prints. Let me know if you find an image that is not offered in this store that you are interested in purchasing.

These are great – They remind me of Scott Hansens (ISO50) work.. Very nice indeed.
love the feeling you have created, awesome work!
the colours and lines plus the delicate flower-type things in the front make an excellent combination.

I meant computer not computet >_o
Absolutely terrific series both in concept and design! I love how you used the obsolete technology and the Queen Anne’s Lace together, and your colors are phenomenal.
