The centerpiece and inspiration for this design comes from the antique Rollieflex camera. I wanted to pay homage to the antiquity of photography, one of the newest, yet most popular current art forms. The orange coloring of the camera was inspired by the French style of painting where an outline was painted onto the canvas at first and colored later by an imprecise wash. I used a sans font for the main title, with modification, and mirrored it. Check out my design blog designbysolo.com to view photographs of a printed version of this and other prints. Thanks everyone for such inspiring words… I am glad that there has been such a great reaction to this piece… When I created this, I had a really nice reaction from the friends that I showed it to (and I was happy with the output) so I decided to make a small series of these, in order to pay tribute to the technological innovations that change and shape our lives but are so quickly eclipsed and outdated by new inventiveness. Therefore, I will be posting some of the others from the series in the days to come.
