I don’t think I’ve ever talked politics really with my friend Laura, but I’ve branded her here with some of Northern Ireland’s more evocative symbols.
Murals are painted on gable ends of houses against the wishes of the occupant, labels are given to people due to the area they grew up in or the surname they inherited, political leaders speak for themselves and not their people – the country is rife with unspoken ‘understandings’, and sometimes they can really hurt.
