Karyn Fendley

I am inspired by the vulnerability of the natural world and my recent artworks comment on our impact on the environment.

I usually paint a series of artworks about a particular place. After spending time in the field, I return to the studio to paint, blending memory and observation to capture the atmosphere of the place that inspires the work.

My paintings explore the underlying structure of natural forms and the connection between landscape, memory and the subconscious.
