Exposed - surveillance and the camera, Exhibition by desertman

I spent the day in London yesterday and made the most of my day by going to the Photographic exhibition at the Tate Modern on South Bank, entitled ’ Exposed Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera’

I found it fascinating, especially the ‘unseen’ cameras in action, some hidden in walking canes and heels of shoes etc
The famous print of Marilyn Monroe of course was there – the one with her skirt blowing up all over the place – and the other end of the spectrum, war pics from Vietnam – e.g. children running down the road away from the bombing and shooting etc

The exhibition is on until October 3rd – if you are in the London UK area, it is worth going to see… Quote…
Exposed offers a fascinating look at pictures made on the sly, without the explicit permission of the people depicted. With photographs from the late nineteenth century to present day, the pictures present a shocking, illuminating and witty perspective on iconic and taboo subjects.
