Increasing global disasters

As we have witnessed since the beginning of the year, the increase in global disasters has been phenomenal – earthquakes, floods, storms, raging fires and droughts – resulting in loss of lands and yields in crops. This will surely make for increase in basic food prices and shortages.

Posted over 1 year ago

Well… I know we have experienced a rather lot of earthquakes in recent months, including several heavy large mag ones resulting in much loss of life – but looking at the global live seismic monitor stations the whole world has gone crazy today – all these stations get updated 30 every minutes – but you can see what I mean by going here – Linked Text

Sizzling saturday..where's the sunscreen?

Posted over 1 year ago

Sheesh – could not believe it, one minute the central heating is on in the evening and I am reaching for my coat, unusually this time of year, now today I am in T shirt, shorts and sandals – the sun has been really hot, the plants need a drink and not a cloud in the sky – but as I say, don’t blink, it may not last! let’s make hay while the sun shine as the old adage …

Frightening Friday

Posted over 1 year ago

Well – not only are we contending with worsening weather anomalies around the globe, now we have the crashing Euro to consider – much talk in the media that if the Euro crashes so too many other countries in and out of the EC will be affected. There is also tall of another economic ‘down turn’ – I read ‘crash’! – so just be prepared -

Also today we …

Musing Tuesday

Posted over 1 year ago

Well…another hard day invigilating the uni exams – aeons ago I was in that position (back in the ice age) now I just have to look at the poor blighters as they try to recall what they heard and wrote in lectures…and, for a change it was bright and sunny outside, but stuffy and smelly inside..what does one expect with over 100 students packed into a small hall…ah well, pays…
