Breaking the Rules by

While going through my downtown Tucson photos to make a slideshow, I came across this one. It screamed out at me, “Why aren’t I on RedBubble?” I answered, “Because I broke the Rule of Thirds when I shot you.” But frankly, I don’t know how else I could have taken this. It is the underneath of one of the floors of the very colorful La Placita in downtown Tucson, Arizona, USA.

Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28.

Rules are made to be broken and still look so right!! There you go, looking so right again!!

  • Thank you so much, Kay. I didn’t think I could take it any other way to get this impact.

There comes a time when the Rule of Thirds just doesn’t work. A gal’s gotta do what a gal’s gotta do. Thanks for identifying the image. I never would have guessed. Barb

  • thank you very much, Barbara. One of those subjects that you see out of the corner of your eye and say “Hey, that might work.”
