Out our front door we look on the Santa Rita Mountains, part of which is a mountain called Elephant Head. From the south, the mountain looks like an elephant lying down with its truck stretched out in front of it. This scene appeared after a monsoon blew through Green Valley, Arizona. The rainbow appeared and then the shaft of light that illuminated just Elephant Head. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ 28.

I just love this. You get such a different view than I do. :)

  • Thanks, Emily. Fortunately I just have to look down the cul-de-sac across the street to get this shot. The long lens helps, too.
