A zoo is the perfect place to practice taking photos with manual focus. Many times the animals are behind netting, bars or glass that make taking photos of animals behind very difficult. My friend and I were about ready to give up. The conditions were just too difficult, but fortunately I was finally able to get this close-up of this gorgeous cat.

Taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ200 in RAW at the Reid Park Zoo, Tucson, Arizona, USA
