Grandparents circa 1914
This photograph of my grandparents and friends was in my aunt’s photo album that my cousin let me scan for posterity. My grandparents are the two people just to the right of the fellow in the center. I love this photograph because of the wonderful composition and reflections. I took the color out of two texture layers and put them on top of the black and white photograph.

Your effects enhance it. Definite fav.
Your grandfather looks like he might have enjoyed distance-running. :)
Linda Gregory replied
Thank you so much for doing some research on this photo, Frannie. It wasn’t dated, but I guessed it was before my mother came along in 1916. My grandfather was very athletic looking, wasn’t he? Today we’d call him a hunk. I’ve got a few more from the photo album I’ll have to pull out. Cars and such.
Ric Alexander
Nice effect, totally matches the image Linda. Well done.
Linda Gregory replied
Thank you, Ric. I put the textures on top. Seems to work either way.
Ric Alexander
Did that with my last image, It works either way but can have different results, especially when sandwiching the photo or texture with the other.

You rescued and preserved a treasure of memories, Linda! Wonderfully worked!
Linda Gregory replied
Thank you very much, Pat. Preserving these and many more photos was my first project when I retired. It was definitely worth the time although now I wish I had scanned them in higher resolution. Oh, well.
