Hoop Dancer

This photograph was taken at the Wa:k Pow Wow held annually at the San Xavier del Bac Mission in Tucson, Arizona. Drummers, dancers and singers come from all over the country to participate. It is extremely difficult to take photos of the participants without the distracting backgrounds, but a friend asked me how to do this effect. I tried out the radial blur in PS Elements on this photo and it worked perfectly. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ 28.
