The second painting of the Vogue Series. This image was inspired by an ad inside one of my massive collection of Vogue magazines. I really liked the way the girl’s hair was set up and how her eyes avoided the camera. Upon starting this painting, I decided to amplify the impact of the eyes and added more color around her face. Also, I toned down the intensity of her hair color.
My goal with the Vogue Series is to create at least 50 original paintings inspired by something I pulled out of one of my Vogue magazines. Each painting is numbered according to the chronological order of their completion.
