Thanks for your comments on this one. The St Paul Rodeo is the largest 4th of July Rodeo in the nation. It is a few miles away from me. The town has around 350 people in it, but over rodeo season there is well over 100,000 people going thru our town. This photo was taken at “Slack” which is free to the public. Slack is the time period where part of the timed events are run. There are too many entries to run them during the 6 shows that are put on. Calf roping, team calf roping and barrel racing are all run during slack. The top performers then compete in the actual shows.
