Nice angle Derid. Did you walk up that. I did once and it’s not fun. Whew!
Wonderful capture.

Thanks for the comments everyone. The park system no longer allows people to walk up these pyramids due to the graffiti that was being written on the stones. The interesting thing about this pyramid is that it has a completely intact smaller version inside it. It was common practice for the Mayans to add onto their structures by building on top of it. However, most of the other structures of the Mayans, ended up with the inner structure deteriorating.

I love your angle in this shot, Deri. It makes the temple seem like it ascends indefinitely, and really enhances its majesty. Well done.

Love the light and the textures. Isn’t it a wonderful place? I might answer this myself as I continue to wade through the backlog, but did you get to go to any of the other ruins while there? You can climb them at other sites. :-)
Deri Dority
This was the only ruins I had time to go to. Unfortunately, they are closing off the climbing to some of the other ruins due to the same reason. It is very sad that people are defacing these beautiful ruins.
