I love the velvety texture of the petals. They look so soft. The rose stands out nicely against the dark background. Beautiful work.

Very good contrast. Did you take this at night with a soft flash or in the day light with a black background. Just wondering because I’m always looking for ideas in my own work.

Thanks for all the comments on this rose. This is a special rose to me as it was in one of the flower arrangements sent to my family from our friends after my father died in August. This rose was such a perfect rose that I had to capture it. I shot it with a dark background and then isolated it in photoshop.
