This drawing is a collaboration between myself and the amazingly talented Leslie Satori Winchester.
This piece started as a rough sketch that I showed to Leslie soon after we first me. After viewing her portfolio I thought this would be an ideal project for us to collaborate on. Using my sketch as a starting point she made a more detailed rendition, using her talent for detail and ornamentation to further bring The Skeleton Queen to life. Finally, I digitally inked the pencil drawing, using layers of hatching to give the piece some additional detail and a full range of tonal value.
Love the details and dark qaulity of this. Reminds me of a part int he book “The Vampire Lestat”, all of a sudden he see’s mortals as clothed, walking skeletons.
i can’t wait for you to produce more works of art it really is something to look at and enjoy love the collaboration wonderful and creative
can’t wait for more so get back to it man…lol
Thanks a lot for your encouragement and enthusiasm! Lately I have been experimenting with different types of work but am eager to come back to doing intricate, line and detail oriented pieces. I have a few ideas that will suit this style and I hope you won’t be disappointed ;). Thanks very much for your comments.
