Sadness warning!!! Not a happy ending!!! Gruesome middle bit!!!
Jeffrey was my soul mate, the cat of my dreams. If I thought about him, he would come running, with a quiet ‘brim-brim’, and jump up onto my lap, or rub around my legs. He knew what I was thinking, and would follow me about like a dog, always near me in the garden, always curled up near me on the bed.
At 5 weeks of age he was rescued from his dysfunctional mother who had resorted to eating one of her (dead) kittens… and came home with me, along with another (unrelated) beautiful kitten, Christmas.
He died very young (only 7) from a voracious tumour, put to sleep in my arms, looking lovingly into my eyes, as always …
