Another young possum, not FatBabyBum, but one as yet unnamed. Always come to exactly the same place to be fed at night, takes a piece of apple from my hand, but is now starting to grab my finger as well, so perhaps I’ll just leave the apple out rather than having such close encounters!

  • Thanks Scott – sorry for delay in acknowledging your comment – I mostly can’t see any images on RB, an on-going and incredibly irritating saga!

I think it is incredible that you can tell them apart. How many possums do you have in your garden?

  • Two mothers, their last-year’s babies, and now a new baby, plus one still to emerge. A Mr Fatbum somewhere, only seen once. The babies are easy to pick apart, because one is tawny and the other is quite grey. The mothers are a bit harder ot pick – one’s a bit prettier than the other, if you can make sense of that!
Oh, and plus there are ringtails, but I only see them very occasionally. They are really scared of my dog (rightly so, she killed one a couple of years ago).
