These two little darlings were rescued from a truly hideous puppy farm, here in Adelaide, South Australia. There is a major prosecution underway and we all hope that this case will at least lead to appropriate legislation to help control these farms. The person who ran this puppy farm is quite old, and will probably not receive a custodial sentence. The puppies were living in dire conditions, in dark runs with newspaper piled layer on layer over excrement and urine, limited food and water, and complete neglect.
These two have found wonderful and loving homes and are now reasonably comfortable to be around people, but they are still very timid and nervous. It is a joy for us that we can be involved, in any small way, in ensuring that their future lives are a very far cry from their puppy past.
