How much did you pay for your macro tubes? I found some for 17 dollars on ebay. There is so much stuff to photograph here and it is all so close. Leesa and I try to head out most weekends. I should be steadily adding photographs as I go. Anyways, I will be seeing you soon.

I think they were around the $50 mark.
I will have to check on there and see if there is anything I might want too.

Hello there! I was just in the redbubble neighborhood and I thought I’d drop you a line! You’ve got some great works on here. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at mine! I saw lots and lots of frogs today and I took lots of pictures of them, none of them are good enough to see this website though, maybe when my film gets back eh? Keep in touch!

Hi Dennis, I use a Canon 350D with a 60mm 2.8 macro lense and a Speedlite 430EX to shoot these shots. You need the flash because at maximum magnification the amount of light ireaching the sensor is reduced. The magnification is 1:1 which means it appears life size on the sensor which is only 2.2×1.5cm so when you blow the image up to a 6×4 print it’s magnifies 3 times. Given the Canon is 8MP I guess you could get a 30cm by 20cm print without loosing quality so the magnification would be 13 times!

Hi Mr. Dennis. Leesa laughed when I wrote that journal entry too…..
I know I will be a busy bear when Leesa and I arrive. Hopefully we will be able to get out and take a few shots at some stage over the next few weeks. I’m pretty excited about the wedding and seeing you guys again.Thank you so much for everything you guys have done for us. Oh…and the shirts look good too guys.

    Hi Dennis
I use Canon dSLRs. At the moment a 20d and a 300d and contemplating a
third body. For most of my wildlife photography I tend to use focal
lengths (telephoto lenses) between 300mm and 400mm, though it
is not unusual for a bird to come check me out at close range
and I miss the shot because they are then too close!!!! I am sure
someone is looking down and laughing at me. Still, I am thrilled
at the number of species I have been able to photograph in the
wild. Thanks for your interest! Good luck with the wedding!

Hey Dennis, sorry it’s taken me a while to get back to you. Had a busy weekend and it’s not slowing down yet!

Now in answer to your questions:
Haven’t got my cards yet – sure it’s over 2 weeks, but i guess RB are snowed under with an influx of card orders.

I’ll send ya an email with the other answer so as not to clog up this space :)

Hello, Dennis as you are the king of these challenges I thought I would suggest this here directly… these challenges are largely collaborative and it’s so impressive the way people jump onto them and then go and create and come back and share… Next time you get the urge and inspiration to begin another… would you consider putting it as a forum in the collaborations hub.?.. some of those pictures don’t make it to the gallery I’m sure, so it would be great to have them all in the bubhub… just an idea…

Hey Dennis, i got my cards Friday! Took a very long time but it was worth the wait – they are SPECTACULAR, i am loving them and am gonna have to buy more cos i don’t really wanna give them away!
Congrats on the sale, wish i could afford to buy some of your stuff! Your portfolio is massive now, do we have the function to sort them in order yet, to put our choices on the front of our portfolios?
How are you settling back into your nice quiet life?

Hey mate :) Just wanted to thank you so much for all the wonderful work you do in the forums … and also for the links to my stuff you share with people. I have always been very appreciative of this from you … just haven’t voiced it. I want to do the same back and help promote all the wonderful things you do too, I just need to find the focus and time to do that, but I will soon. I’ll let you know when I do. :) I have no probs with you linking to my stuff and I assume it will be the same with me linking to your helpfulness and community spirit too {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} Keep up the awesome work Dennis!!!!!

So you bought a Canon, hm ?......... It just happened to look online last night for a new camera and I came across pages and pages of problems that Canon has. Two disastrous (so they call it) problems : around a year or soon after the guaranty expires, the lenses cracks and the zoom gets stuck. Sorry about this. If you want to see for yourself, just do a search on “problems with Canon cameras”.

Hi, Dennis, just responding re the ‘woman’ image in the self portrait hall of fame…That’s pretty amazing that you can retrieve things which don’t work for somebody else, thanks. What I know about the inner workings of a computer could fit on, if not a postage stamp, at least an envelope. Anyway, it’ll be fine if it stays there. Thanks Dennis, keep the challenges coming, eventually I may even get to know what I’m doing! ;)

Hi Dennis, Caroline again. I have just been browsing through your work and it is magnificent. I have been to Darwin and Kakadu and just love it. I have lotsa pics from my old SLR but nor high enough resolution to put on RB.

Hi Dennis, I use Apophysis www.apophysis.org to generate those fractal images. It’s a matter of patience and lots of tweaking sometimes to find something nice, but it’s very easy :-)
Love your gallery, I wish I had the bandwidth to look at everything properly!

Evening Dennis, think I’ll just say “hi”. I’ve looked at “how to make a feature page” and will call my son in I think. I’ve had one too many Gn’T’s to try. Not that computer savvy. I can type and that’s about all.

I remember the first “image”http://www.redbubble.com/people/dharna/art/37777-12-droplets I finally uploaded (after a couple of weeks of looking on RB) and you were the very first comment I had. That made my day.

Hope work is gong well and that you enjoy what you are doing now.
