Can anyone help with identifying this Owl.
Photographed at Pleasley, Derbyshire among other Raptors on display
Thanks to Carla I now know this Owl to be an African White Faced Owl.

    Let’s try a White-faced Owl even though he’s from Africa from the looks of it. Maybe this one was visiting? It was KILLING me that I couldn’t find your beautiful fellow…….

  • You have hit the nail on the head Carla, thanks. Your ID has resulted in me finding a photo of the very same bird on the “Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, Worksop Group” Web page. Worksop is only 15 Miles from Pleasley, where I saw this beautiful owl, which seems to confirm it. They describe it as an African White Faced Owl.

    I finally got to the point where I was looking up Black/white owls and Owls with ‘ears’…lol
