Great find and fab shot, it looks like a frill. I like the little plant growing there too.

Definitely jelly fungi! Two possibilities (or more?) Tree ear or Brown Jelly….Tree ear I think is Aricularia aricula……grrr…I’m not at home so can’t spell to save my life.However you look at it though, it is considered a safe edible! :o)
Thanks for the information, the appearance of Jelly Fungi seems to vary so much. I prefer to leave it where I found it for others to see, rather than eat it.
