I’ve Looooved salmon for years… eating & cooking it many ways, but this is my first Gravalox! With fresh herbs from the garden! A jar of cherries looked so colourful as a weight while I make the 2 day wait!

Nice shot! I ate salmon gravlax (with a hint of vanilla!) when I was in Finland, just recently in July.

No photo, unfortunately. But I remember a nice white plate, with thin slices of pink-orange salmon and sauce. Nice!! Came with a salad buffet, very tasty. July was warm in the south of Finland, some nights it was as cold as 15 degrees, for about 2 hours!! Sunshine for the other 19 hours! Lapland was colder, about the same as a cold Brisbane day in July, but it was overcast there, and I suppose it would be warmer when the sun is out.
What Fun with such a contrast though similar! Maybe you can make some gravalax with soe Tasmanian Salmon! Easy and wonderful!

Amazing! Is it really a real rooftop or been made to look that way? and love the circles on the interior…what a contrast! Like the rooftop best!
