Tantrums

Haiku is a kind of Japanese poetry, given its current name by the Japanese writer Masaoka Shiki at the end of 19th century.
In English, haiku are usually written in three lines consisting of five, seven, and then five syallables, e.g.,

One candid haiku
Composed as demonstration
Cast in cyberspace

Traditional haikus are not as simple, i.e., in Japan, “ha-i-ku” is considered 3 “count sounds”, but these are done the English way.

From fine polemic,
To vomitous philippic;
My dummy is spit.

-

Cantankerous coot;
His rival has him unglued;
His foe’s he, mind you.

-

Abroad lucid scapes,
In visceral depths of rage;
Reptile waylays ape.
