My heart tells of things that call from my soul..
The importance of the being with the right
people, to be a living breathing person,
know that you’re seen as one;
and to know that however grandiose your
plan or be it a mediocre idea, both of which
could be set to fail, the understanding is
there from another nonetheless, and
vice-versa, seeing each other
as living, breathing, growing in the flesh.
Depriving the psyche, draining its essence,
settling for cruelty,by surrounding self with
people who cast their look of disapproval,
giving them them the controlling upperhand;
and in your taking it, they feel their power,
they maintain it, they pour cold water on
your unique passions, caring only for the
power they feel to see you shrivel.

pliable, sweetly thread ties not too needily
hold them to my heart, deeply/lightly, welcome them
with a kiss and embrace woven tenderly
carrying the love between goodbyes and hellos, a caring,
a passion desire to keep all fires blazing
to be for another
a hearth and a faithful friend, a lover of life for the sharing.
I will look well, not for what looks tempting,
the hunger, may seek out the fare that turns sour
I’ll close off false beckoning, soul-search, greet substance
weave a magic to and fro, cycles with seasons, linking
the moving forward creatively, the resting,
the blending of connected spirit /muscle,
the tender flesh,
the looking into each other’s hearts, in acceptance, the feeling content.

self respect and respect of others lives is paramount for a peaceful society. So much inbalance in the world that sometimes I wonder where the respect goes….and then I remind myself what you wrote in the second paragraph…..and this is what gives me hope, not so much what you have written, which is very important, but the fact that there are people on this world who think this. Great message Del.

I think there are more in the world that do than don’t; it’s a pity the
disrespectful stand out and have the spotlight. So isn’t it good to have
a space on a site to write about self respect and respect of others,
have our say :) The world needs encouragement.
