From the shoreline of
from comfort zone
a safety spot
its lot fenced
looking for weather changes
could hamper plans
bring temporary inconvenience ..
Further out to sea
a whole community fighting for
survival move instinctively
upon their prey
its their natural way
their feeding ground and
natural life cycle
and find too late
the species dying out..
In the deepest inland
for their lives
on and on they press
exhausted spent and starving
their numbers fast reducing
their familiar habitats disappearing
desperately they try
to support their young
and their fading weaklings..
Fully aware of our needs and
we grumble and fight
for rights out of
sleights and small minded wrongs
and moments slip by
while the future
waiting for nobody
looks back with a shake of it’s
We are so blessed to be given a look into
the lives of thousands of species through
wonderful programmes such as
The Living Earth which have been brought
to our screens over the last few decades.
Sadly many species are under threat of
Much can be done to help their survival.
We need to be increasingly aware of the
importance of whole foods, as much as possible organic,
to support our immune systems,
and to use environmentally friendly products to
stop toxic substances causing havoc, upon
ourselves, our environment, on our animal
and bird life, our oceans and forests, earth and air.
