Life in a Chocolate box by Andrew Walker

Ok first of all sorry for the random title, but if you know me by now your getting used to me being off on a tangent.
Just got back from Venice, what a fantastic place, words simply do not do it justice, and as i found out quickly can you do it justice in pictures? No really could you, I’m pretty certain that thousands, no make that millions, even better billions of people have tramped up and down the tiny streets some in crowds others in blissful seclusion snapping every angle of every landmark, bridge, canal, gondola and touristy vision of wonder.
pretty certain that some of them are quite a lot better at this photography game than me too. I was impressed with was the rule for people to remain fully clothed, which explains why there are no Paul Vanzella pics from there ;) sorry Paul, please don’t kick me off the site.
And it hit me, right between the eyes! no not pigeon poo, but there is plenty of that in Saint Marks. it has been done before, all of it, everything is exactly the same as it has been for years, except for Macdonalds which is there (unfortunately) but the people change all the time, faces of wonder, boredom and the Venetians getting on and living around the chaos that is modern day Venice. So I ended up taking pictures not only of Gondolas, palaces and churches but also the people.
I’m going back there as soon as I can, it really is something and somewhere else, my favourite place to spend some time. And the Pistachio icecream is pretty good too.

and anyway, if you were inside a chocolate box would you photograph just the chocolates or the reactions people had to those chocolates?
