a bit of fun by Andrew Walker

Posted on July 01, 2008

I have added comments to other peoples work (as you do) for some time now. A long time ago I got bored with the usual comments of ‘Great Shot’ etc. To combat the boredom and still contribute I started adding comments that told stories about what was going on in the shot. I reason that if I like it, it’s worth spending a little bit of time writing something about what the picture sparks in my head. These comments tend to be silly and usually get a damn fine ignoring. However, there have been a few who like the comments and have asked for more, Paul Vanzella being the most notable.

Or here

And now I’m getting asked to write comments to stand next to other peoples work! how fantastic is that?. So if you want an ‘unusual’ comment to stand by your work give me a call, drop me an b-mail and give me a bit of an idea what your picture is of and a broad idea where you want the comment to go and i’ll get back to you in two shakes of a lambs tail..

Will the speling on the coments be better than the title of “Jsut a bit of fun”?

  • Andrew Walker:

    is that better?
obviously I should use your skills as a monster scrabble player and member of the punctuation police to be a copy reader.

It gives a whole new side to the image and breaths life into the new model/photographer relationship – such a fantastic story! I hear there are more ;)

Different type of collaboration this is :) feel free to view my images and see what story as you call it comes to your mind.

Your RB soap is refreshing (I’ve not read all but enjoyed what I did read) …. the big picture and seeing the funny side in most things with the ability to write about it. Well done it was fun to read and I’ll come back to read more.

From the Red Bubble Chronicle – Pippi Longstockings mugged, Police are searching for the assailant of the lovable waif Ms P Longstockings (14) of ‘my childs art’. The Police have issued the following statement. We have reason to believe that the perpetrator of this particularly nasty crime was after Ms longstockings, longstockings currently we have no leads and are hoping for help from the Red Bubble public. If you spot anyone sporting long stripey stockings please do not attempt to stop them, they are to be considered highly dangerous at this time.
