While art-school experienced, Bari Titen is a largely self-taught artist who has always loved the creative act. Her early dream was to work in animation, but timing and financial considerations kept her drawing on her own. For much of the 1990s, she experienced a dry spell and didn’t create much art. However, a move from Los Angeles to Raleigh, North Carolina, and a new fiancé, refreshed her motivation and she couldn’t put the pencil down. With a love for the Old Masters, such as da Vinci, Michelangelo & Raphael, to name a few, Bari has tried her hand at oil and acrylic painting, but her main love is pencil drawing. Her cats are great models (whether they know it or not) and have inspired a lot of her art work.
She has a drawing in Artwanted.com’s 2009 daily calendar (July 1), and intends to pursue art for the rest of her life.
