I always wanted to shoot this beacon, but since it is very remote from the place where i live, i had to wait for a weekend to travel there. It is situated in Burgenland, Austria at Lake Neusiedl (Podersdorf) and it is the only beacon we have in Austria. The birds use Lake Neusiedl as a waypoint on their way from the north to their winter quarters in Africa.
Canon 50d and Sigma 10-20mm at 13mm, f/ 16 iso 100, Fader MkII, three bracketed images merged in Photomatix.
what a beauty! wow! so great light and colors and those birds add a lot in the picture. the reflections are amazing of clarity. water is like a miror. a fav for sure ;)
Worth waiting for, I’d say. Great shot, I like the transition of light from warm to cool across the image and it has nice leading lines and reflection, too. Ticks all the boxes!
