This watch is an Hommage to old Pilots Watches from Breitling that were built in the 50´s of the last Century, the famous Navitimer. It was a chronograph with a slide rule to allow simple calculations during flight. The Watch soon became a often seen watch at the wrists of Airliner pilots, civilan and military, and was the official AOPA Watch (Aircraft User und Owner Association).
In 2002 Breitling offered this 50th Anniversary Navitimer. The technique is new, but the face resembles the old classic models from the 50´s.
I tried to make a picture showing the unique characteristics of this sturdy watch, its beautiful face, hands and case in brushed steel.
Canon Eos 50d and Sigma 50mm f/ 2.8 Macro, f/11.0 1/60 sec, Sigma 530 DG Super Flash with Gary Fong Light Sphere, Tripod and Mirror Lock.
