Today I drove for around an hour just to get to this place (traffic was horrendous), then after getting there I just had time to shot like 20 photos because I recalled that I needed to be somewhere else at certain time…. Was it worth it? Hell yeah! Hearing that “click” of the shutter after my first photo was all I needed to feel happy again, like in my special place… that’s it, photography takes me to Dreamland.

First off…great shot! Second…is how funny it is that I have shot this exact spot, but at night. Several photography students and I took colored gels and put them over our flashes and illuminated the boat slips from the windows on the the other side while our instructor shot from this vantage point you were at. At one point I was standing at that big tree on the left and highlighting the building with my flash also. The shot turned out very cool with the different colored gels.
