It has been quite a while since I have been able to do anything on here…. been too chaotic, computer issues, etc… hopefully I can get back into it with a vengence…

I have always loved photography- I got my first camera in the 2nd grade for Easter- I still have it 28 years later. Just a little cheapy 35mm that I used all the way up until about 8 years ago. My dad was an Army photographer in Vietnam and he was a big influence on my love of the art. To me photography shows you how others view the world, it allows you to think out side of the “box”, and show others what you see.

You will probably notice that I have several pictures of skulls and graves. I get most of the skull pictures on walks we take down railroad tracks. A little bit macabre- but interesting to us none the less.

I have 2 daughters who have already shown an interest in photography and I love to see what they can come up with in their snap-shots.

Two of my favorite photographers are Ansell Adams and Georgia O’Keefe. I’m a huge fan of black and white photograhy and Adams work is just amazing- the textures and shadows just pop. O’keefe shows you the character of her subjects- there is always a story to be had.
