Thanks to those who responded to my call for quotes about my work to write in here. The painting is all about the creation of a painting, progressing from bare canvas on the left, through drawing, underpainting, my brushes and combs, primary then secondary colours, and finally finished on the right. In the middle of the maelstrom, me creating the world that won’t exist until I paint it, and my husband and soulmate Peter watching over me from behind the scenes. See the way his face is all lit up? That’s the sun shining out my butt. Hey, artists are very important!!!!!
