Hi all, have had very little time for redbubbling lately, with huge things happening in my life!
One excitement is that I am a featured artist in this months Australian Artist Magazine- a goal I set myself 10 years ago! Great to see my work in print, and AA did a fabulous job, reproducing the colours brilliantly!
The biggest excitement is that I am soon leaving North Queensland to move to Brisbane and attend Uni next year, to finally attain my Bachelor of Visual Arts. Seeing as how I turn 50 next year, I figured it was finally time to get that degree I have wanted since I was 16.
Will be looking to reach as many workshops as I can during the remainder of 2009, trying to get funds together to support myself over the next 3 years… I’ll be totally time poor while studying, so every dollar I earn now is one I don’t have to make the time to earn while school is in!
I plan to base myself in Grafton NSW until December , so if you are reading this and are part of an art society in Northern or Central NSW that may just want a fun weekend learning clay sculpture, oil painting, or my totally wild inking techniques, please drop me a bubblemail or give me a call on 0408720029 and I’ll get some information to you.
It’s a huge change and challenge, to be a single student after 24 years of married life, but I’m sure it will be exciting beyond belief! Bring it on!
