One thing I like about this piece is that it is not in the bright, lurid colors or dark, smoky colours generally associated with paintings of belly dancers It has a flow to the lines that is echoed in your choice of colors and tones that suggests something which is far too often overlooked: this dance is a discipline, is respectable, and is an art form as much as ballet, tap, or jazz dance is.
Aside from that, it is simply beautiful to feast one’s eyes upon.
