Tremolo
I’ve had November Sky 2 hanging by the bed for months, liking it but knowing it wasn’t quite finished. So today I pulled it down and added around 50 more really chunky texture paste flowers and some more glazing to bed them in, and now I’m happy. It finally trembles, so I’ve changed the title to “Tremolo”. Really interested to hear any feedback on whether you think I’ve made an improvement to it….

ooh, I like this one better. don’t know if you darkened the trunk on the actual painting here or if it just the photo but with the added texture and the darker trunk this seems even more alive, wonderful work

Thanks Marie, it is more alive this way! I didn’t darken the trunk but this photo is close to how it looks in interior light. Appreciate the feedback- thank you!

Deb I like both. The texture on this one is great and it is a little bit darker on the trunk.

Thanks Alice- subtlety is hard for me, so building up with glazes like this stops me going too bright . It’s closer to drawing with pastels than painting, really.
