On my most recent trip to Antarctica, we got well and truly stuck in the ice for nearly five days. We had one big-ish berg to one side of us, and another on the other. One was moving towards us, the other was stationary. We spent a few anxious hours watching the radar in a blizzard as this one berg got a bit closer, pressuring the sea ice around us. Eventually it stopped moving, and we all relaxed a tad. Anyway, this is the berg… we got to know it quite well.
