Where have you been hiding Doug ~ The Portfolio is cram packed with goodies, whether into Wildlife or Landscapes with a touch of frost to give it Edge my friend! This is definately why RB rocks the shutter Best regards Rick B
Thanks Rick… not hiding, just not very visible I guess!
So tricky to get the exposure right for this kind of subject, but it is absolutely spot on Doug. Did you set some exposure compensation for this, or just let the camera meter make the choice? It looks too good for any camera to meter perfectly, automatically… what camera was it, because either way, the metering is bloody good. Fantastic image by the way. Regards, Brett
Thanks again Brett. Camera was a Canon 5D mk2, shot RAW. So much room to move in post with a raw file, and I did have to work on the highlights a bit to bring out as much detail as possible in the feathers. Canon 300 f2.8 L helped a lot too… :-)
Very beautiful, almost abstract! Please consider adding it (or another suitable one from your great portfolio) to this challenge – and don’t forget to add it to the A Vision of Flight Photography group at the same time – thanks!
