Swallow-tailed Gull (Creagrus furcatus), Galapagos Islands
The swallow-tailed gull is one of the world’s most beautiful gulls. It is endemic to the Galapagos and is also unusual in being one of the few species of gull that feeds out to sea at night.
This one was photographed on a rainy El Nino day on Genovesa Island.
